Welcome to Bosqueville High School!

Biography:

I am grateful to be the Bosqueville High School Principal for the 25-26 school year.  After 17 years as a Construction Manager , I took my first Job in education as a Business Manager in 2003, since then I have been a Teacher, Coach, Principal and Superintendent.  My best years in education were spent as a Principal in Oglesby, Texas.  The thing I enjoy most about working in education is the daily interactions with the students, and knowing that no day is ever the same ... you never know what might happen tomorrow.  I look forward to meeting and building relationships with the students and parents in the Bosqueville community during the next school year.  I believe that a good educational foundation and an environment where students know that adults care for them and want them to succeed can improve the outcomes for students and encourage them to become better humans and citizens.  I believe family support is important in the education of all students.  I invite the parents of our students to be involved and reach out when you have a concern or question.

Education:

Bachelors in Business Management - LeTourneau University  (1999)

Masters in Education Administration - Texas A&M Commerce  (2006)

Doctorate in Educational Leadership - Texas A&M Commerce  (2018)

Family:

My wife and I moved back to the Waco area over the summer, because we have always considered Waco area to be home. This is where we wanted to be, and it also put us closer to our two grandchildren (Lilly and Oliver).  My wife also has over 20 years experience in education and will be a counselor (LPC) at Connally ISD this coming year.  Between the two of us we have 6 children (all grown) and two grandchildren.   My wife and I like to travel (she loves the beach) and spend time with friends and family (my family is in Nebraska) ... nowhere near the beach.

Myself:

I am a self-professed nerd.  I collect football cards and other sports memorabilia, comic books, and toy soldiers.  Some of my collection  (my wife calls them "my toys") will be on display in my office, and all are welcome to come visit and check it out.  My favorite Super Hero is Captain America, and I prefer Marvel over DC, but I can relate to both.  My prize possession of my entire collection is the complete set of 1972 Topps Football Cards (High Numbers included). This set took me 23 years to put together.  My favorite holiday is Christmas, and I get a little extra when it comes to decorating and baking cookies during the holiday season.  Other things I partake in are cooking, reading, and going to concerts (various music genres).  Most of all, I love working in education.  I look forward to meeting students and staff and supporting them in whatever way possible to make this a great year for all at Bosqueville ISD.
